Gilded Age

The Gilded Age in United States history is the late 19th century, from the 1870s to about 1900. This is the period of enormous economic growth and ostentatious display of wealth during the last quarter of the nineteenth century. Industrialization dramatically changed in U.S. society and created newly dominant group of rich entrepreneurs and an impoverished working class

Mid term format

For midterm i would like to see 5 written question, 5 matching questions and probably 5 true and false questions.
My 3 key terms that stood out while reading were:
Bill of right- first ten amendments  of the constitution. Written by James Madison. They avoided anything that said all men are created equal which helped to deny slave rights. Freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, petition;protection from unreasonable searches and seizures(captures), right to speedy and free trials
Secession- South Carolina was the first state to leave (1860) because of the result of the election. They felt they had no voice. they created the confederate states of America in 1861. followed by other 6 states.
Free soil- movement opposed to any expansion of slavery.
 examples of short answer question
In what ways did different Indian groups defy and resist colonial rule?
what was most significant about American expansion after civil war?

WE SHALL ALL GET A+ :)
